… and it was very good.

Wasn’t a big fan of Colin Farrell, in either his, or my, younger days, but ever since The Lobster, he really has turned me around. That, this, and the unexpected perfection of In Bruges, that dude can cook.

This take on LA Detective Noir, is just this side of cloying, but it is, so far, really entertaining, with a top notch cast, and a compelling main character.

I’m very much looking forward to more.

I think Farrell suffered a similar sort of thing as Brad Pitt did in the 90s in that he’s super attractive…oh and he was in that bad Daredevil movie. Aside from that I can’t remember him ever being the reason a movie was bad, and whenever I see him he’s absolutely fantastic.

The intro is amazing! I’m loving it so far. I love me some noir and of course you can never go wrong with Colin Farrell. The editing is great as well, although a bit confusing sometimes when a character’s voice is heard before/after the actual frame.

There’s some theory by some viewers that there’s gonna be a scifi element (Sugar not being a regular human), but I’m hoping that’s not the case. It would be great if it was just a straight up detective noir show. I need to scratch an itch that True Detective Night Country did not satisfy.
