The new word won’t use any of the letter you’ve already ruled out (so if you guess “doors”, for example, the new word won’t have d, o, r, or s).

I know this isn’t exactly a new game, but I thought I’d share it because it is, as the name implies, absurd.

    Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t see how this is different from wordle other than unlimited guesses.

    Edit: I guess I see the difference. Wordle has a word you’re using process of elimination to find, whereas Absurdle uses your input to pick a word that’s furthest away from your guesses. But this then means you can use that against itself and make your first couple guesses all letters you don’t want to deal with.

      For some reason, I appreciate that you’re not working towards one specific word from the start but slowly narrowing down the “available words” until one fits.

      Nah I’d say that the more words there are, the more information you’ll have to solve other words which makes things easy. I remember trying a 32-word one once and after my 3 starting guesses of choice it was just one word per guess. I think something like Quordle or Octordle (8/10 words) would be better.
