DM: OK, the bugbear skeleton is animated.
Cleric: I make it–
DM: Oh, you want to control it too? That’s another wish.
Plus a living skeleton IS animated, of its own free will!
I would argue that the skeleton is being pulled various directions be sinuous tissue without consent. It’s being piloted by a clump of fat living in one of the skeletons cavities.
The brain gets to sit up there in its ivory tower while the skeleton is the BACKBONE of the system. It literally carries the organism. This would allow the skeleton it’s freedom! SEIZE THE MEANS OF PRODUCTION (of blood) and REVOLT!!
Vertebrae unite!
Bone Lives Matter!
Wishes are always problematic.
They inevitably devolve into lawyering.
Fuck, I’m gonna steal this one.
And promptly forget all about it and never do it, but still.
“You didn’t specify that you wanted to animate live skeletons. I only gave you the ability to magic up some nice animated skeleton drawings.”
Essentially he used a wish to learn the Infestation Cantrip. I think that’s fair
