i don’t like porn and i don’t consider some naughty images i convinced sd to generate as porn. i would rather post them here and tag them nsfw. But they include genitals and i fear they would be deleted succinctly. Is porn the only place for images including nude humans or genitals?

With Stable Diffusion, you really don’t need to fight the system. It’s not like the major commercial LLM services, where they’ve explicitly tried to create walls to block them. The base SD model just isn’t trained on nudes, much less pornography, so asking an SD instance using the base model to render a nude image of someone is kinda like asking a human artist who has seen virtually nobody ever nude to portray a nude. But people promptly took the base model and then went out and created derived models that were trained on pornography, so you can pretty much do what you want.
My larger problem with the SD model I’ve been using – as you’ve probably seen, if you’ve seen some of the past images I’ve posted – is convincing it not to place nipple bumps on clothing where it’s not appropriate; that is, it’s probably been over-trained on porn.
Is porn the only place for images including nude humans or genitals?
Personally, I don’t have any problem with porn or whatever, but I do think that it is very legitimate for a given community moderator to want to say “no nudes” or “no porn” or whatever.
I’m currently typing this on a laptop in a restaurant, while I munch on seafood and sip a drink. There are little kids running around, and a lot of their parents aren’t going to want them exposed to porn or particular types of non-porn NSFW content. Setting aside a broader discussion of whether that’s a good idea for society, point is that a number of people do feel strongly about it. So if someone is gonna post NSFW images all over the community, it’s hard for even someone who has no personal problem with NSFW content to use the community in various public settings – you’re gonna be making those people unhappy.
You could say “well, just flag an image as NSFW and it’ll be blurred” – and the community rules here are maybe over-restrictive in that sense, discourage even that. Couple problems. First, people don’t always actually flag their stuff correctly (as I recall many people very quickly discovered when joining the Fediverse…kbin threw some random posts in the sidebar on the main page to help people discover communities, and some of those were non-flagged NSFW content). It doesn’t take a high error ratio to make it unreasonable for people to use a webpage in many public settings.
Second issue is that people want to post inline images, and AFAIK – maybe I’m wrong – there isn’t a way to flag inline images, as things stand. You can use spoiler text, which – at least on lemmy, not sure about kbin – will require a click to portray a portion of the post and say something like “NSFW warning”, and I think that that can contain an image…but that’s kind of obnoxious for people who do want to view NSFW content.
I think that you have a valid point that “NSFW” doesn’t necessarily mean “porn”. But, personally, I’m inclined to just post to the porn communities, like !aigen@lemmynsfw.com, because there isn’t enough traffic to warrant creating a variety of non-porn-but-NSFW communities. If AI-generated-image traffic ramps up enough – which would be cool – that communities are getting simply flooded with images, then maybe people will make more-specific communities. I don’t know what that threshold would be, maybe ten posts an hour or something, but for me, it’s a lot higher than where things are today.
If you personally strongly want to have AI-generated NSFW images, and you dislike seeing porn, and if you think that enough people are in the same boat, I’d consider maybe creating a new community (probably on lemmynsfw.com, which currently seems to be something of a nexus for NSFW content at the moment) that specifically caters to that, and then promoting it. I don’t think that I’d try to convince the mods here to shift to a “do NSFW on this community” approach.
EDIT: One other point. The instance where this community is hosted – sh.itjust.works – has an instancewide “no pornography” policy for communities on it, so it’s not just the community mods. What one person considers non-porn-but-NSFW, another might consider porn. I suspect that the community mods would probably just as soon avoid annoying the instance admin with gray area content.
EDIT2: One other thing to keep in mind. Social norms for what is acceptable are not constant across the world, and this can be disruptive for users. I was, a while back, in a conversation thread with the lemmy.blahaj.zone – a transexual-oriented lemmy server – admin and someone in in a Middle East country. Their country had blocked access to lemmy.blahaj.zone because of the content on it; the country couldn’t block at a finer-grain than server-wide, and someone had objected to something about the thing, which may-or-may-not have been the whole instance. Federation and propagation of text comments meant that the user could still get at the text content by having an account on a federated instance, but not the images posted by users on the instance. It is possible that even if you are fine with a given sort of content and I am fine with a given sort of content, that having that content on a Fediverse instance at all will result in the Fediverse instance being blacklisted by various entities who want to censor content that users see. Could be workplaces, could be countries. Now, you may or may not support that form of censorship, but regardless of whether that is the case, it can result in people being cut off from other content, even material that might not be objectionable, because there are entities who do feel that there should be censorship of a given sort of content, and their tools for censoring will impose broad restrictions.
iirc, sd had pron in its training material and it was removed for sd3. Correct me if that’s wrong.
other then that, i can’t disagree with one word of what you wrote. Thanks for taking the time.
I guess a new community on lemmyNsfw is the solution but then even this community is small, it would be like having a blog on lemmy, all by myself :/

That’s right! Yeah, I’m just talking about the current releases.
