Aka all the instances that make lemmy worth hanging around for.
Came here just to say “headphone jack”.

After so much russophobic propaganda I get where this is coming from, but are you willing to go die out of sheer hatred of russia?
I’m just scared that people like you will drag us in an outright war, and I don’t wanna go die in our overlords’ bid for more resources.
Yeah we all know that “to issue a warning” or “to open an investigation” in practice means nothing. The EU is complicit in genocide.
Wow I really liked that article ty for posting it
Seems so dumb but they probably still want to use it for propaganda so that’s why they decided to fund it.
Ummm if you don’t think this is good news you’re definitely on the wrong platform.
Lemmy devs are awesome, Lemmy is great, and I’m happy to contribute a small donation.
I’d love to see it but I’m skeptical US is willing to actually do that.
Wow, real mask off moment, though they were using the “German law” pretext for a while now.
Thats awesome news for both parties.
Would be better suited on an emacs community, no?
I almost had the ingredients to try this one out, just substituted apricot liqueur with peachtree. Turned out pretty good, thanks for the recipe!
Varoufakis posted pretty much the same article in video format on Diem25’s Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzXDSrRdZ-4
Is KDE actually good or it is overrated?
That’s like a trick question 😀
If I say it’s good, and that contradicts your own experience with it, you can say “see it’s overrated, people say it’s good, but in fact I know it sucks.”
I use it on Arch but I’ve seen people using it on Fedora and it looked good and stable.
Did you try to look into it, see what’s causing the problems?
In my experience having used Linux and KDE Plasma for about a decade now, if you wanna have a good time you’re going to have to figure stuff out, check the logs, troubleshoot, look it up online, etc.
If you expect to go through different distros to find one that “just works” you’ll be disappointed, and you’ll be wasting your time. Issues can be hardware-specific, maybe you just need to pass a parameter to the kernel, or change a config somewhere or something like that…
Do you know about guix? Seems right up your alley.
Awesome speech, very well said 👏
They are right though. How does sticking your head in the sand and pretending the problem doesn’t exist work?
