Right now I have 3 Lemmy accounts:
- this one, where I post things that I wouldn’t mind my employer reading
- one I made so I could make a community on a specific instance
- a third one where I post about difficult personal stuff
How do you divide up your accounts, or do you just have one?
Eh, I have my author account, a few random ones, and two that I use the most, depending on how well things are working with a given instance.
Redundancies ftw. It’ll be easy to shrug it off if a given instance dies or whatever. And they will. Such is the internet.
All told, I think I have a dozen? I’d have to go looking to be sure. But I had a couple accounts from before reddit went batshit that I never used because lemmy was kinda dead. But my two most used user names, I didn’t make until this round lol
I have a lemm.ee account and a lemmy.world account. They are exactly the same as far as subscriptions go, my feed remains essentially the same, they’re just for when one has server issues, goes down for maintenance, or is laggy I have another with the same feed to keep my experience pretty much the same.
Right now I only have this one as the information I spread / talk about on here is nearly impossible to use to find my real identity. If I needed to talk about something more personal, of course I would make a throwaway, but the need has not arised as of now.
This one for browsing and commenting and stuff and the other one for when lemmy.world goes down.
I only use one account on my instance and don´t have others
One main / general account with a arbitrary username, And one more with a username shared with my other socials, on a different instance Also a third one I created on a third instance while figuring out this Fediverse stuff during the first Reddit migration
Also a kbin account to try out kbin
One for the main, one for all my queer communities. I give zero fucks.
