minus-squareShadow@lemmy.calinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up41·8 months agoDid you know that penguins have a special anus able to withstand a much higher psi than most animals? They need this so they can squirt their poop away from the egg they’re keeping warm. Of course there’s so many penguins in close proximity, this means they’re all covered in shit and smell bad.

minus-squareShadow@lemmy.calinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2arrow-down1·8 months agoI’ve never smelled bad potatoes, but penguins eat mostly krill so just imagine tons of fishy poop
minus-squareFuglyDuck@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·8 months agoIt’s not a smell I can really recommend, let’s just say it’s the most, uh, memorable smell I’ve smelled. (Specifically cleaning dormitories over summer. Someone left a sack. Ac was turned off.)
