As Stephanie Grisham spoke at the Democratic National Convention, a screen behind her displayed a text exchange she said she’d had with Melania Trump on Jan. 6, 2021.
…
An apparent screenshot of text messages between Grisham and first lady [Melania Trump appeared on a large screen as Grisham spoke. The messages show Grisham asking Melania Trump on Jan. 6, 2021, if the first lady wanted to tweet that there is no place for lawlessness and violence.
Grisham said Melania Trump simply responded, “No.”
Grisham said she was the first senior staffer to resign that day, as the DNC crowd applauded.
“I couldn’t be a part of the insanity any longer,” she said.
didn’t this text exchange get publicked a long time ago? maga voters don’t care. the party of “i hate cancel culture while i cancel everything under the sun” and “criminals don’t care about gun laws but we need bathroom laws to make sure women can’t use the ladies’ room” and “we should raise the voting age because 18 year olds aren’t mature enough to vote. btw this is my new 12 year old bride” – they couldn’t give less of a flying fuck about any ridiculous, stupid, wrong, false thing anyone on team maga says or does, as long as it’s “owning the libs”
MAGA also aren’t watching the DNC. This wasn’t for them.
right, the party of “tough on crime” who’s blindly loyal to their felon cult leader muppet
Maybe, but if so, why not keep talking about it and make them keep answering for it? If you want someone on their back foot then you have to keep them there.
I’ve probably seen it before, but there’s so much over the years that it’s impossible to remember it all. Reminders like this are needed and welcome.
If you can show supporters of a populist that everyone else is jumping ship, they will too.
At the very least I hadn’t heard about it before. There was so much chaos in the aftermath that I’m sure there are a number of little factoids like this that managed to slip through the cracks for some folks.
Fun fact: Factoids aren’t actually true.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Factoid
Edit: It just hit me that you could have also meant that this fact was buried under a lot of factoids.
Edit 2: Oh well. It was used incorrectly so often, that it now can also mean trivial facts.
I hate it when that happens. It sucks. It literally sucks.
Well, the data is clear on this.
Wanted to be pedantic so bad that they became the pedantee.
Fun fact, that fun fact was a factoid. And not the true kind.
The first sentence in the article says it can also be a small real fact
I prefer the term “factito”. But nobody knows what the fuck I’m talking about when I use it.
