They said tens of thousands of protesters would be here. They claimed they would “shut down the DNC for Gaza.” Like the Chicago riots during the 1968 Democratic convention, their demonstrations would snarl the city, shake the party and doom the candidacy of “Genocide Joe.”

Then came Kamala Harris — and the protest fizzled.

Organizers anticipated there would be 30,000 to 40,000 protesters on hand for Monday’s kickoff. But only a few thousand showed up; police estimated 3,500

Protest of Israel is not protest nor hatred of Jewish people. Expressing hate and disdain for Israel is not expressing hate for an entire religion nor culture.

Burn any flag you want, but if it’s a US flag in a US street don’t be surprised with the consequences

It is actually required, as per the American Legion’s flag code:

            (k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning. (Disposal of Unserviceable Flags Ceremony)

Not really no. You think what, random people would intervene? To save a piece of cloth? Grow up.

Thanks for the advice, but I did see a random guy try to stop such foolishness. A number of the masked assholes overwhelmed him. Next time he might try to level the playing field the Chicago way.
