Billions of tons of plastic waste clutter our world. Most of it has accumulated on the ground and in the oceans or disintegrated into tiny particles known as microplastics that pollute the air and the water, penetrating vegetation and the bloodstreams of humans and other animals.
Honestly cardboard and paper replacements have been working fine for everything except straws. Unless it can do that better I’m not seeing much point
We already have compostable straws made from plant-based plastics.
What about the pasta straws? I’ve seen it mentioned once, but nothing since.
Sure try it, but keep in mind it won’t work for celiacs, and some folks won’t enjoy the extra starch leeching into their drink as it soaks
Airtight packaging? I don’t see many things not sold in plastic wrapping.
