Our suburban home backs into a wooded nature preserve (aka greenbelt). There were vines that had climbed an oak and were choking it so we cut and pulled them. I spooled and twisted a few into large rings as a way to contain the debris. Then, for shits and giggles, I hung them from the tree to dry. I hope to have an entire clearing full of hanging dry vine rings by the time I move out.

      That’s a fun idea!

I have ornamental hops someone planted in front of my house, which tend to choke out the lilacs that shield my brick facade. (And ofc removing the root never works, it just takes an extra year to regrow…)

I have to cut it back several times a year, so this could be a fun way to make that happen

Lovely idea. What a gift for the next people who move in.

I’m kinda tempted to let runners take over the yard next spring just to do this.
