Shit’s too expensive and the shoppers fuck things up a lot for me.
I’ve never used instacart or ubereats or grubhub. The first thing I think about is how shitty that job would be and then remember they probably are barely getting paid as it is just to do a mediocre job because the store rearranged the products, or get delayed in line because Karen’s coupon isn’t valid.
Yeah, me and my wife used it religiously for a year or two when our work lives were crazy, until we did our shopping in person one week and realized how much extra we were spending between the fees (even with the subscription), the tip, and their price hikes.
We still use it once a month because our CC gives us a monthly credit for it, so it makes sense, but the vast majority of our shopping is done the old fashioned way now
Yea the online shopping experience is so vastly different it makes it very difficult to find what was ordered
You didn’t need 6 heads of cabbage?
No, I wanted lettuce…
My disabled mom uses it for staples, and I show up as often as I can with just fresh stuff. Don’t rely on a busy shopper to get fresh things that take time to pick
It helps my mom feel more independent and my trips are easier too. Of course I could buy it all and plan it out but she feels empowered getting to pick and expect things.
