What worries me about the whole affair is that meta will sell their platform to people who have no understanding of the fediverse and no care for " embrace, extend, extinguish". All those on Facebook and insta will say, ooh, new thing, let’s try it… I’m just hoping we can remain away from their reach but the more I think, the less optimistic my perspective
