Once this passes, and this too shall pass, can we please just prohibit misinformation from anyone with a platform?
If Republican voters would get actual reliable news, the party would cease to exists within the next election, nobody would vote for their shit.
Nobody would vote to protect police agression and corruption, nobody would vote for free gun laws if they got the actual statistics, hell, most people wouldn’t care much about immigrants had they gotten the right news.
Anyone with a platform spreading misinformation should be jailed as far as I’m concerned at this point, and yes, it is easy enough to just agree on facts. If a news organization for weeks on end fails to report certain details that results in a certain narrative, you know what’s up

The problem with that is “who defines misinformation” then becomes the hot button topic.
What really needs to happen is banning pundits - the people who’s entire career is focused completely on speculation.
