So a tourist found these three in April in a garbage bag seen below in the screenshots of my conversation with the tourist. There was some speculations in my first ever post that the garbage bag cats weren’t the same as the cats that I posted after. But you know what? I’m glad they don’t look the same because the cats in the garbage bag are wet, face down and about to die and with a little love these garbage three turned into some beautiful freaking creatures.

This is a video of the first night when my friend came over with formula who also fosters and rescues cats here in Corfu.

My sleep schedule was insane. This was my first time bottle feeding kittens and they were obviously just born. Tiny still had an umbilical cord attached …I was waking up every hour for the first few days every two hours for the next week every three afterwards then every four… I was exhausted

On Easter I really thought Tiny wasn’t going to make it. She was so small and she was fading and panting, like in the video below for an hour. After feeding her with a syringe keeping her warm rubbing honey on her gums to boost her sugar levels she pulled through.

Easter is when my aunt told me that a cat by her house had given birth and has two kittens and I should maybe try to get her to accept the three garbage bin babies…so I gave it a shot and lucky me…The mom accepted all three babies.

So now we have tiny Chonky and moustache from the garbage bins as well as Buffy, spike(black cat) and the best cat mom

Tiny moustache chonky spike and Buffy were introduced to another kitten that was found in a field while someone was cutting the grass. His name was potato. I’ll share his story in a separate post later. He’s the white one with the orange tipped ears.

Spike was adopted by university student here in Corfu and lives in an apartment in the city meanwhile Buffy and the garbage three live with me. I had mommy spayed and returned her back to my aunts. My aunt tried to keep her indoors but she wasn’t having it. She’s still running a ruckus around my aunt’s house and knocks on the door when she wants food sometimes she’ll stroll in for a little look around .The good thing is though now she’s spayed so no more kittens.

Tiny had a little battle with anaemia but after a quick vet visit everything was alright. the 5 cats I kept started to explore outside and bond more Once tiny and Buffy were six months they were spayed. And shortly after moustache and mushroom (another cat rescued who will have their own post) also we’re spayed… and also we’re kinda high. ( will post videos of them kinda high to the peer tube later it’s just kinda hard case I already started this post before uploading those videos) there is however some other videos that I haven’t linked here on that channel that you guys can also watch.

To think that these three cats…if that tourist hadn’t heard moustache screaming in the garbage bin from a tied up blue bag … would be dead is unbelievable. The love they have to offer is unmatched and the attachment I have to them because they were the first kittens I’ve ever bottle fed is impossible to describe. Anyways, that’s the story of the garbage bag babies. On the first post I ever posted on lemmy someone tried to say that the cats in the blue bag were different than the second photo I posted because there’s a whole other cat in the back or they aren’t the same tabbies well I guess now you know who Buffy is…
Here pics of moustache, Chonky and tiny today

As we all can probably tell I’m very bad at taking photos editing things and writing, but I do have a good heart and I’m just trying to help some cats

Thank you for putting in all the effort to save these kittens. It’s heartbreaking to think somebody dumped them in a garbage bag like that.
Are you planning to keep them all or will they be rehomed now that they’re older and healthy?
These guys are mine now; after bottle feeding them I’m way to bonded to rehome them… but they love it here. I’m away from a main road so they get to go run around in the yard pick up inside the house as well sleep in here we all just cuddle together. They’ve made friends with the first five cats. I rescued actually all the cats get along which is pretty nice, but I’m gonna be posting more stories of the cats that I rescued I have 16 that are my cats. There’s 7 that I’ve rehoused! Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to keep anymore myself because of the cost but any kittens that I do end up rescuing I’m going to try my best to rehome. my friend who’s been doing this a bit longer than me here is amazing at the adoption process. She’s gotten cats from here to Switzerland, the UK, Poland all over so I do the grunt work of the bottle feeding and she does the sourcing of good homes. 😂
Wow, 16! That’s an amazing effort and it’s great to hear that they all get along. 👍️
We only kept two of the eight that we rescued (I live in the suburbs of an Australian city where there is a low level of stray cats) but there have been two that I wish I’d been able to catch.
I feel that. You wanna help them all. Sometimes when they’re in the wild for so long too, it’s just so hard to trap them. There’s one cat that I named bread he’s not mine but he snuck into my house once and he was on my kitchen table eating the bread so I called him bread. I need to find a way to trap him and get him neutered. It looks to be about eight months. The only thing is is I’m worried that what my cat is gonna end up in the trap because my cats go outside too so one of these days is what I’m gonna do is trap my cats inside and leave the trap outside and hope bread goes in. Happy to hear there’s humans like you around the world doing similar things. ❤️
How does she find homes for the cats?
She lives closer to the main beach strip where there are hotels, so many tourists end up coming down seeing the cats and then wanting to rehome them sometimes tourists will find cats on their trip and their trip is obviously short so she will foster them until they’re old enough to be microchip vaccinated and ready for travel and then she’ll send them over. She’s also on a ton of groups on Facebook Corfu cats being one of them. She’s just so much more organised than I am, and knows the ways but it’s great having her as a helping hand and slowly I am learning my self.
