I was a huge pixies fan and after a few years somehow stumbled upon a live video and was. shocked. joy gone, could not listen to the band anymore. in my mind they where so immensely cool, young and obviously hyper attractive. but seeing those old bald men kinda ruined the music.

also, where is my mind is really pointless, what is it even about? but I only care about it since I know how they look. that’s bad huh.

When I was in grade five I had the chance to meet the hosts of a local rock radio station. I had a mental image of cool dudes wearing baseball caps and tank tops but instead it was a couple of corporate looking guys in their 40s. It’s pretty shallow but listening to them afterwards didn’t really feel the same.

What? I mean, they were young when they did all the good stuff. Black Francis was 14 when he wrote Hear Comes Your Man. There is a Brixton Academy video from 1991 on YouTube and two or three 1989 shows too. Forget about the newer shows! I saw them live in 2004 and 2005 and they were still great, but those earlier shows are where it’s at.

A guy I dated in high school had longish hair. Thought he was so cute. Then he cut it and looked twelve. I didn’t want to date him anymore.

Pretty gosh dang shallow of me.

Was the video recent or late 80s/early 90s? Personally, outside of jam bands, I think anybody over 40 playing rock on stage is cringey

less than 10 years ago i guess. but it really depends about the age, once i saw kim gordon and her age really did really not took anything from her abilities. but i get what you mean, would not even go see the roling stones if i got paid for it.
