I wouldn’t describe me as obsessed, though. Nothing in my house or on my person is Japanese besides a pair of chopsticks I was gifted that I don’t even use. If I didn’t say anything you wouldn’t know that I can read it by looking anywhere but my browsing history that includes the news, Wikipedia and a handful of YouTubers.

I wouldn’t mind being a weeb but it’s only a niche interest as much as I’m into other things like board games and art. You don’t have to be a weeb to see learning Japanese as a personal challenge and a hobby.

The majority, maybe, but I don’t even like anime or J-pop. It’s all about the culture and the awesome writing system.

Performative acts? That legislation would’ve passed if it hadn’t been struck down. He tried to pass it several times and did succeed in some instances, until the Trump administration ordered to pay up a few months ago.

What’s baffling is how you’re so ready to discredit every and all of Democrats’ deeds. I get that they’re far from perfect and actively harmful in others, but your absolute stance to deny things that have actually happened is a little ridiculous.

Some drugs like weed are legal here. You can’t buy from a dealer, but you can grow up to six plants in your home with a permit and carry up to an ounce and smoke in public within reason, for example. We don’t have dispensaries because we reformed our entire supreme court last year and they’ve been operating for only a few months. The previous court ruled that the freedom to develop one’s personality includes drug use and so it’s considered a constitutional right. But then elections happened and we haven’t heard much about it since.

Still, the ingrained “drugs are bad m’kay” attitude we adopted from the US has been hard to shake off, but before that, drugs were not taboo.

Unfortunately, the cartels have smartened up and instead of going for illegal drugs, they’re monopolizing crops like avocados among other industries. And yet that doesn’t mean we need any body’s help to deal with them, but we do need the US to stop supplying fire arms.
