Ich frage mich ob das nicht noch mehr Menschen in die Arme der rechten Menschenfänger treibt oder dafür sorgt, dass bereits nach rechts tendierende Menschen sich davon beeinflussen lassen.

Ich bin fest überzeugt, dass die Sorge vor Radikalisierung wegen Gegengewalt eine Nebelkerze ist, die Ursache und Wirkung verkehrt. Die Gewalt kommt ganz eindeutig von den AfD-Faschos: die rhetorische Gewalt, in der dem politischen Gegner gedroht und er beleidigt wird, kommt von den Faschos.

Die Gewalt im Alltag gegen Demokraten und Leute, die anders aussehen, kommt von den Faschos. Der ganze Terror von Hanau, die Ermordung Walter Lübckes, der NSU. Das sind alles Nazis, die Menschen und die Demokratie hassen und Gewalt einsetzen. Die auf ihren Demos Galgen aufstellen und vor die Wohnhäuser der politischen Gegner ziehen.

Einerseits gibt es Angriffe von Faschisten und Nazis auf Politiker demokratischer Parteien. Die machen das, weil sie die Demokratie hassen und sie abschaffen möchten.

Andererseits sind da Politiker einer faschistischen Partei, die die Demokratie abschaffen wollen. Die bekommen auf die Fresse, weil sie für eine Nazipartei kandidieren, die die Demokratie abschaffen will.

Gewalt gegen Personen anzuwenden ist moralisch falsch und ich möchte es nicht verteidigen. Aber Politiker einer faschistischen Partei sind für mich keine „weiteren Politiker“, die angegriffen werden. Das sind Nazis, die Nazidinge tun.

This comment section appears deeply partisan: If you say something along the lines of “Boo Google, AI is bad”, you get upvotes. And if you do not, you find yourself in the other camp. Which gets downvoted.

The actual quality of the comment, like this one, which states a clever observation, doesn’t seem to matter.

I dislike the entire article. Of course google search still works just fine. Claiming otherwise is only possible by magnifying a small, admittedly disfunctioning part of google search.

I think I get your thinking, the options would be a) to produce these clips, or b) not to. I‘m not an expert in military propaganda, maybe @LaFinlandia@sopuli.xyz can explain: How would the war evolve if let‘s say only Russia produced these videos, but Ukraine didn’t? I imagine Ukraine would look weak to the outside observer, is that correct? What other effects do you obtain from producing these?

I agree, those 30s clips that show a person getting blown into pieces are dehumanizing. So is war in general.

But remember who is on the right side of history in this. I am convinced the Ukrainian that edited this clip would rather do something different with their life. Their country got attacked though, and propaganda videos like this one are one way of defending it.

In 1945, my grandfather was due for being drafted into the Wehrmacht as part of one last, „glorious“ attempt to defend Germany against the Allies. All men his age, he was 17 at that time, got recruited into the Wehrmacht with soldiers roaming the streets and forcibly recruiting them.

Grandpa hid himself in the fucking basement for several months to not get drafted. Because he did not want to get killed by the decisions of some braindead fascist maniacs. He risked his life doing so, survived, and lived a fulfilled life afterwards, helping to rebuild then-destroyed Germany.

Mr. Washing Machine had a similar choice. He decided to help attack another country and got gored in the process, having a washing machine drum over his head. Fuck that guy.
