But you can find a boyfriend and get him into blacksmithing so he can make you one. I feel like a ton of men won’t need their arms twisted much to do it (myself included).

The context was the comment chain that at no point mentioned anything but surgery.
If anyone took that to mean I was against all gender affirming care, they made a baseless assumption.
Fair enough. I wasn’t sure since people had the mindset that the number of users moving to Lemmy were enough to take down reddit.
No, you need to not make assumptions. The comment I was responding to was discussing circumcision, and had nothing to do with blockers or hormones. I intentionally only brought up surgery.
Anything else was your assumption.
I mean, I did just buy a jaw trainer that’s basically a chew toy, so I’d be all over this if there were different strengths.
The speech and singing regions of the brain are separate from each other, which is why this works. It also can work for people who lose the ability to speak from brain damage.
It’s wild how adaptable the brain is. Some dude was out there just living life when he had a head mri after a car crash (iirc) and found that he only had a brain stem.
Amen. It would be nice to have posts on actual technology instead of business/financial news about technology companies, or what shitty CEOs are doing in their personal lives.
The fediverse is not anywhere near large enough to stabilize those numbers.
I never said I supported the laws blocking access to blockers and hormones. You’re the one who read more into my comment than what was there.
That doesn’t answer my question.
Definitely not the state’s right to let rich white men own black people. Nope, not that at all.
I always love the, “it was about state’s rights,” people.
Yes, you’re absolutely correct. It was about the state’s right to let rich white men own black people.
Yeah, for sure. I’m definitely not against hormones and mental health treatment. It’s just weird that “children shouldn’t be able to just get permanent, life altering surgery,” is a bad take around here.
I guess you also support letting 14 year olds get tattoos?
Nah, he’d do it if there was a legitimate chance of going to prison.
I’ll have to get back to you once I fix Synology webstation yet again.
I would love to have an electric smart car for running errands.
Tbh, I think that irreversible sex change surgeries shouldn’t be allowed until the age of 18 (circumcision included). There’s a reason that we don’t let children do a lot of things, and that’s because their brain isn’t developed enough to make informed decisions.
There are a lot of things that I personally thought were a good idea in my teens that I definitely wouldn’t in my mid 30s, and I’m sure that’s true for most people.
My wife’s dog won’t come when I call the dogs to take them outside until I walk into the room he’s in and tell him directly. Little shit.
I don’t care if you don’t believe me. You’re drawing the wrong conclusions because you’re expecting me to be against hormones and blockers. You’re almost using that argument as a strawman.
You are wrong. All I said was children should wait until they’re an adult before undergoing life altering irreversible surgery. Full stop.
