Wonderful! I got my little flag from attending Canada Day event in my little town last year. Put it up on my front window on Flag Day and it will stay there until I need to replace it. I have been eyeing the flags (supposedly made in Canada) being sold in Canadian Tires. Most likely will purchase that when I need to replace my little flag.

Yup, Ford has been cutting funding to public health, just like Smith in Alberta. Remember: public health is provincial. This is why I did not vote for Ford in the last 3 provincial elections.

I’m not going to be one of those usa voters who decided to vote for Jill Stein because “Democrat is not perfect”. They (along with those who couldn’t even be bothered to vote) are partly to blame for the second trump regime. Canada sovereignty is at stake. Our way of life is at stake in this election. Until we got an electoral reform to replace “First Past the Post”, I am going to continue to vote strategically against conservative. pierre and conservative win will be a nightmare for Canada because they cannot be trusted to put Canada and Canadians over usa, billionaires and corporations’ profit.

NDP is dear and near to my heart but in this coming election, I’m voting for and donating to my local Liberal candidate.

My riding is a conservative stronghold, but I’m still going to vote for my local Liberal candidate. As soon as Election Canada received my local Liberal candidate’s nomination application, I’m planning to scrape together some funds and donate to them.

1. The parents are equally shitty, and/or,
2. By the time kids reach teenage years, they will mostly listen to social media than parents. They will live their lives on social media and thus, acceptance and opinions of social media “frens” matter more than their parents.

I am a P. Eng. in Ontario, Canada. It’s “Professional Engineer” license. As someone else has mentioned, you can be a mechanical engineer, a software engineer, an electrical engineer etc and a P. Eng. The requirement for P. Eng is passing an Engineering Ethics exam, receiving an engineering degree from accepted universities/college (doesn’t have to be a Canadian school) and completing an certain number of years of Canadian engineering work experience (ie. the work must be qualified as engineering type work, and must be in Canada). Now, I received my P. Eng more than a decade ago so the rules may or may not change.

Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) is our organization which regulates the exams and licensing. It is also a sort of watch dog which ensures that engineers are ethical and don’t cut corners. PEO also provides networking (they may organize a plant tour or conferences etc) and volunteering activities for engineers. We, engineers, pay annual fees/dues to PEO but if you work for an engineering company, your company may pay your dues for you.

I hear you. I don’t go to stores often either nowadays. Just to get my weekly groceries and every 2-3 weeks, I’d go to Home Hardware or Canadian Tire.

This may or may not help you, but what I do is: store my reusable bags with my shoes, so every time I reach for a pair of shoes before I leave the house, I could also grab a bag.
