I don’t think sane people are able to believe in things like Jewish space lasers, so I don’t think your average GOP voter should be held accountable for believing that kind of nonsense - they should be provided mental health care and an education in critical thinking skills. I don’t think we should be imprisoning the mentally ill (that’s more of a conservative thing) - I think we should be giving them access to treatment. From there, the bulk of the conservative brain damage should resolve itself.

Imprisoning those inciting violence against minorities based on lies and attempting to overthrow the government based on more lies seems like a responsible step in protecting Americans and American democracy though.
