Or whoever told the version of the story that ended up being written down decided to insert a joke into it. I mean, that whole bit could have been left out; the dog could have already eaten the sausage by the time the bird got there.

Spider-Man 2 got a PC version, but it was a completely different game from the more well-known console versions and wasn’t nearly as good. A linear progression of levels instead of an open world and you could only swing from “webbing points.”
I’ve got DVD-ROM drives in my desktop PC and my old laptop that I use for playing videos while I exercise and a USB Blu-Ray drive that I can use in anything else. You’ll get my disc caddies when you pry them from my cold dead hands.

The 600 series had rubber skin. We spotted them easy, but these are new. They look human - sweat, bad breath, everything. Very hard to spot.

If you actually read the early comics, it takes Peter a good long while to learn that lesson and he still forgot it pretty frequently. Still, his journey toward learning that lesson was a core part of his character until the writers decided to just make him a flawless Mary-Sue.
