I don’t know about the author, but I’m on Linux and Android and the apps I see on Notion Calendar are for Windows and Mac for desktop and for iOS on phone.
I’ve tried the web client a bit when it came out but it just didn’t really click for me (as in, I didn’t see how it would be better than any email client that has an integrated calendar). Also, calendar web clients just don’t answer the issue, in my opinion. And regular Notion is slow and clunky in my experience, so I haven’t given them the benefit of the doubt on the Calendar part of their tooling. :)
Depression can worsen or mimic ADHD symptoms and it’s common to tackle that first. The ADHD diagnosis is irrelevant, what matters is that your life gets better. :)
In my city, we don’t have a subway, but we have trains and tramways and buses (and my city’s super flat and very bike-friendly). I haven’t owned a car in 10 years. My partner sold their car this year because it took them more time to drive around than to take public transportation or their bike.
All of France yep!
and has a PhD about it*
Countries in the Americas? Not sure what you don’t understand.
The book is called Free, I’m not trying to promote anything and really have nothing to gain. I’m just sharing my book reviews and felt like this might be good to share with people interested in European countries and cultures :)
Just started The daughter of Doctor Moreau yesterday.
Before that, Rana Joon and the one and only now was absolutely wonderful and I really recommend it.
I have no recommendations but please know that Gender Trouble is actually a psyop book written only to melt the brain of people who attempt to read it (/s)
I just can’t get my head around this monster of a book!
Yeah, Anna’s Archive bragged about doing it (and they did great).
Isn’t that just the metadata?
I think starting with Color of Magic is just fine, IF you know and enjoy classic heroic fantasy. Otherwise it’s very hard to enjoy without understanding what tropes it’s mocking.
Yes, I didn’t mean to imply otherwise!
Yes and yes! Anxiety and depression can have symptoms very similar to those of ADHD.
In my country it’s free to get a nurse visiting you twice a day when you’re disabled (including old age related disability). You’d also get massive financial aid for a live-in person, but they’d normally be a family member who would get a government salary + possible adaptations to their normal job (eg always working from home).
Hospice is a last resort and it’s incredibly expensive.
The vampire Academy series is my guilty pleasure, usually with lots of hot choccy milk.
Otherwise, not a big re-reader but winter’s more about cozy mysteries and cute romances. I keep the gripping memoirs, gruesome crimes, high fantasy or sci-fi and very smart nonfiction for other times.
people really hate when developers are paid for their work huh
What a ride. I had heard of Empress but had never found the courage to try and understand the memes. Thanks for this!
I love that we had such different experiences!
My review for it was super super short but here it is:
This novel is possibly my favourite read of 2023 so far, because it is incredibly good and also, I must say, because I am a huge sucker for multi-generational timelines.
I didn’t mind the object characters too much because I was more interested in what happened to them than to who they were anyway, but I absolutely understand your opinion :)
Chronological, starting with Equal Rites.
