the difference is that, stratagems have been (until this point) been unlocked with requisition slips, not with the super credits. additionally, it might not be a daunting cost to you, but it might for others, always something to keep in mind!

it’s a major shift in how warbonds work, for that reason alone it’s a big deal. as far as responsibility goes, i’d invite you to find empathy for those who were suddenly impacted by this change. additionally i believe we should be advocates to make more experiences accessible to all people, regardless of financial constraints, time constraints, or other circumstances.
it’s unfortunate that they are going down this route. stratagems are one of the main appeals of the game, missing out on primary, secondary, and throwable weapons due to not having a warbond isn’t nearly as disappointing IMO.
something i’d like to emphasise for people who think this is no big deal, because you can earn credits by playing: not everyone has the game amount of time to play as you might. those players don’t have a choice of grind for it or pay for it, for them it’s pay for it or lack the stratagem.
of course, if it works best for you, it’s a good option! for example, im not self-hosting the lemmy instance that i use. however, there are numerous advantages to self-hosting, and if you’d like to learn more i would recommend the selfhosted community on lemmy. world
right, i read this (the linked README) already, and i was more-so asserting it rather than asking, but thank you for the response nonetheless.
what i was trying to say is, this software claims to be “Built to last forever” and yet is not built for self hosting, my remark was meant to highlight how these things are fundamentally incompatible. keep in mind it’s not necessarily bad to use a service instead of self-hosting, but i wouldn’t recommend it.
built to last forever & cannot be self hosted
hmm…
remember, it’s important to keep people ignorant to better opportunities
isn’t this one proprietary?
“i just caught the plague”
“it’s cause you’re on that damn orb all the time!”
your telling me it’s not a bug?
i thought it was somthing to do with the new flame primary and secondarys, that shouldnt be able to kill chargers being applied to the flamethrower
but, if not, this is so bizzare
there’s an unfortunate bug where the flamethrower is ineffective against regular chargers (still works on behemoths apparently though), but other than that great update!
what are the odds, i watched that episode only a few days ago
i find the grenade pistol great against them, or failing that, grenades
im not sure about the premium sync features, but syncthing works well
about the plugins, they are not (yet?) supported in mobile. might not be an issue if you are desktop-only, but thought i’d mention it.
if gamers keep allowing companies to install kernel level anti-cheat, i fear the answer is sooner rather than later.
it’s not a buzzword, it is valuable, but as with many things “safety” is being used as an excuse to push bad legislation (in this case regulatory capture).
for examples of REAL ai safety, i would recommend looking at this YouTube channel
