The overwhelming feeling of disappointment and melancholy as you realise you have a finite amount of time left on this earth because people can’t be arsed to take responsibility for keeping alive the planet they live on.

I hope things will get better for you once the job and team position crystallises a little more over time. Sounds like a not great position to be in, but it could work out ok given time.

Had an intense weekend. I went clubbing twice and now suffering the hit on my immune system at work, oop.

Starting to figure out a way to talk to my friend about her self neglect and poor handling of her friendships. Sometimes life is a lot easier than I think it is. Just have to talk to people about stuff, it doesn’t need to be the perfect conversation each time as long as I’m bringing up the subject I guess.

Getting into the second week of my new job after a mostly relaxing weekend. The first week was fine, mostly tiring because there were a lot of impressions, but I’m really happy with the soft landing my new colleagues arranged for me.

Yesterday (Sunday) I finally got to run the 10k I’ve been training for since July. It was my main motivator to get out of the house and stay busy while I was looking for a new job, so the timing couldn’t have been better. Last week I didn’t run at all because of the new job, but I didn’t need to anyway. All went well and I’m very happy to say I ran a new personal record at 47:30 mins :)

Don’t really know yet if I’ll try to keep in shape for future races but for now I’m definitely resting my legs, hehe.

Had a great weekend!

I started a D&D campaign with friends and it was a great first session. I love my character coming to life. There are some background things to figure out still but I love love playing them so the whole thing is already a big win in my book.

This week will be my final days of chilling at home before I start my new job next Tuesday. I’m excited to start doing something again after 2.5 months unemployed. Trying not to think about how tired I’ll be in 2 weeks from now 😅

Picked two beautiful yellow raspberries today and I was so excited I ate them immediately and forgot to take a pic hehe

Maybe I’ll clear out my raised bed to plant some winter vegs soon. I just let it grow wild because the extra green looked nice and the bugs love the shade during summer :). I wouldn’t mind taking it back to grow some carrots tho.

Thanks for the advice. I know if I’ll just give it some time I’ll feel better, so I just have to wait it out tbh 😅

Been reading my fancy gold-green-and-black edition of the cthulhu mythos tales. Some crazy stuff in there. I’m glad I’m finally taking the time to read it after sitting on thus for some 6 years.

Also second interview on Friday for the job I really want, then my bestie’s birthday party afterwards 🎉

I got it as a potted cutlet from the one my parents have had for over a decade, so no idea what the cultivar is really. I might try some Google lense-ing when the fruits are ripe.

Some initial research showed that for yellow raspberries (which it should be, because the mother plant is) it’s actually normal to fruit year one, so yay 🙏
