Watching animated movies made for kids. It doesn’t matter to me as long as it’s quality.

While it is exciting, I can see both sides of the argument here. The infrastructure here in the US is built around cars so it would be much less effort to automate the existing infrastructure. On the other hand, things could be so much more efficient if we focused on trains and other public transport that excels at transporting a large amount of people. But that would take so much more effort and money to update the infrastructure.
That’s a little more comforting to hear. If you commit a crime, you shouldn’t be able to get away with it. Still don’t like the fact that it’s still possible…
Yes we should remember to get out and vote! Don’t get complacent.
What are the chances he’s elected and making all the cases go away?
So fully explaining how these systems work will be a huge project that humanity is unlikely to complete any time soon.
Great read. This quote really stuck out to me and gave me chills. Reading about AI is so fascinating. Feels like we’re on the cusp of something big.
I’d argue conspiracies have always been trending for more than a few years now, it’s just they’ve reached mainstream now. If you’re in the US they have definitely been a major part of the political culture here and is one of the reasons there is so much distrust in any authority. Sad to see though.
The more exposure the better (for better or worse). As the fediverse grows we gotta watch for the growing pains of becoming a large social media platform.
Sweet, looking forward to watching Gravity again.

This is cool though. But NASA+ just sounds like they are copying Disney+.
Recently switched over from Windows to Pop_OS! as a daily for the first time, and I am loving every second of it! As a convert from Windows to Linux who also likes to dabble in some advanced stuff, Pop_OS! was very easy to get into. In the past I’ve tried Arch but it was too much work to get to my liking.
This goes for anyone in the fediverse, not just lemmy users. I am on kbin which may not have as much options as lemmy to migrate to, but I will also be looking out for instances that match my interests more.
Been waiting for the main instance to start up! Thanks for this guide.
Neat, so yams in the US refer to a sweet potato? Slightly related, but can you also explain the difference between Ube and Taro? I’ve had this conversation with my friends as well.
This is what I’ve been trying to do. Put some thought into comments whenever I run into a post I’m interested in. Also do favorites have any effect on what shows up on your homepage?
People feel really empowered with the anonymity of the internet…
This is where the system of Favorite and Reduce comes in. Same concept on Reddit with upvotes and downvotes. Hopefully the community will help to filter out the noise, but again, history tends to repeat itself.
Thanks for this! Not sure why I never actually bothered to look into other kbin instances.
I wish kbin had other instances…
Easy to find a lot for Mastodon however. Is there a migration guide to transfer accounts somewhere?
All I want is just good hardware reviews, the rest is noise…
