Dont know what that is, tbh. I lost interest in the series after Disney kept doing their thing. I can’t speak for any of the new stuff from the last few years.

The originals were fantasy. I’s not a hot take, it’s fact - Swords, wizards, castles, knights, the heros journey. Some of the other shows and media since departed from that. Mandelorean is a western, solo was a heist movie, and most the shows don’t fit the fantasy tropes that well. None of Star wars, to my knowledge, fits sci fi at all.

The Internet is a fickle creature. Lemmy users tend to not support posts that could be interpreted as an ad. Flagship phones seem to be a top item on the hit list.

Personally, I have used flagship phones but do not plan to in the future. Cheap ones last longer in my experience and don’t have ads in menus and undeletable bloatware. After buying a Samsung TV, which has the above issues and more, I don’t plan to buy anything from that company again.

Please don’t dwell on posts that do badly if you are being genuine. Might just need to try a different community for these types of posts.

I’m not disagreeing. It just doesn’t add to the point in my opinion. We are talking about now, and local governments (in my anecdotal experience) are in no way as old as recent national politicians.

The wish for one party to select somebody under 80 years old is not moot just because the other party is likely going to select an 80+ year old. Especially if there is a sizable voter block who are more easily swayed to vote for someone under 50.

How does local voting make it more likely to get younger presidents? I’m not sure I understand that point.

I always understood it otherwise, that progressive was more to the left, outside that neoliberal democrat stance. But these things change over time and I may have always just misunderstood.

Progressive is often used as a blanket term that basically means that you are farther left than the Democratic party. Not that he doesn’t like progress, just that he is not pursuing the end of capitalism or something in that direction if even slightly.
