Do you mind sharing what you use the terminal for? There is usually a gui to do most things these days.
I also only know basic commands. ChatGPT is pretty good that, so it is my first stop if I need something complex.

Are there specific things you dislike about terminal?

I’m a resident of a foreign country and I have to do an annual online check in and pay some fee, like $20.
I forgot to do it the first year, but it was not a big deal. I just had to pay a late penalty.

I thought there was a charge or something. I guess that’s what turned me off from it.

I’m not to familiar with zorin, and I don’t see it recommended often. What’s the deal? Any criticisms of it? Especially for new users?

I think it’s a good metric to let people know that the machine can hold its own and will likely be the kind of specs that developers will target.

I don’t see any problem with that. The worlds’s lore could just be told through different sets of characters eyes.
I don’t even pay attention to game lore anyway. So as long as gameplay is good, I’m alright.

I agree about the start ears stuff after watching Andor I was like F the Jedi story line, I want more of this!
I don’t mind kelvin since it’s its own universe. Also I think it got lots of people into trek. The 09 movie is what got me started on the series and now I’ve seen it all many times over.

That’s not too bad to be honest. I was expecting them to go much higher.

This was a great game, but it’s pretty cheap on pc. I wonder what this price will be.

I don’t get it.

My ideal world does not use money.

It suggests that if AI companies unfairly exploit musicians’ intellectual property to train their generative AI models, the creative ecosystem will be wrecked and original music silenced.
I kind of disagree with this.
There may be less people making music when money is their main motivator. But there will still be people making music.
Maybe we will lose low effort artists but gain great music by passionate people.
I’m not a musician, but these protests are going to be completely ineffective.

For anyone looking at these. Be a bit careful with getting one that is poor quality. I had one and there was sometimes lag and you would end up double pressing keys and stuff.
It was a completely different model than the one in the picture. But I wanted to leave this warning so you read reviews first.

I imagine if the bubble pops, then loads of people will suddenly be out of work. So prices may drop, but money might also be scarce.

I think it’s good the machine is not super powered. If people stop buying the latest gpus so often, then devs will need to optimize their games or target weaker hardware.
Some games have a steamdeck setting which I love.

In 2016, Burridge and Linden studied a slightly different measure, the time it took water samples to reach 0 °C but not freeze. They carried out their own experiments, and reviewed previous work by others. Their review noted that the large effects observed in early experiments had not been replicated in other studies of cooling to the freezing point, and that studies showing small effects could be influenced by variations in the positioning of thermometers: “We conclude, somewhat sadly, that there is no evidence to support meaningful observations of the Mpemba effect.”

With windows, is always better to do a fresh install windows is super buggy and unofficially forcing a downgrade (if possible) will likely be a big headache in the long run.
I’m not sure about your company IT, but they may not allow you to use windows 10 if they are not paying for extended security updates.
I find that I don’t use it much after I do my initial setup.
Mainly I use it when doing server admin stuff, but for my personal computer, I use it to update and install apps for the most part.
