People leaving Windows is good. It’s a shit OS built by a shit company managed by shit people. But to be replaced by a locked up phone/tablet that is solely meant for you to consume, instead of producing is a giant set back. Just note that is you really need a safe place, having Windows installed on the same machine is counter productive. Make sure you encrypt your Linux partitions. Otherwise it’s very easy to mount them and sniff all the things from Windows.
