I have use a gaming laptop since 2014 and miss being able to switch out components. The laptop I have is pretty modular and easy to service. Finding the parts at a reasonable price is not really possible anymore.

I put together a shadowbox last year for a client and had fun making it. I wrote a calculator in Python to calculate where to make the cuts so I could just fold up the walls and documented every step so I don’t have to struggle next time I make something like that again. Now the clien has come back with the same exact project and I have zero interest in doing it despite making everything dead simple. It was an unusual project for the shop I work at, very custom, and I established my self as the guy that does the weird custom projects. Now I am the guy doing the weird custom projects. :(

Botanically yes, peanuts are legumes and not technically beans. Calling it a legume makes me think about silage and feed. So, they are beans to me.

Currency will still be used. Unless everyone starts to absolutely own nothing, there will be bartering with something other than a fancy note with a promise of value from your local government. For example, food has been a staple currency for as long as agriculture has been a thing.

An idea.

Lose your punishment stamp card? We’ll assume it was full and get the next card(it went green, blue, then red.) and detention essays. Fill or lose another card double the previous punishment. I burned the cards I got and handed the ashes to the principal at the end of the year.

I want to put the effort I give earning money to be put towards bettering my life. All my lemons are being juiced for someone else’s lemonade.

I saw a 90s ranger next to a new one and the new ranger looks like the size of a 90s f150.

Or the insurance company fucks up giving you the wrong plan and do a switcheroo last minute. Right before the short enrollment period, your boss is looking into why they are paying more for employee insurance than expected and find out more than half of the staff is on the wrong plan. Then the insurance company tries to recoup the cost from providers putting the employees on the hook for the difference even though it wasn’t their mistake to begin with.

The problem here is that the employer somehow likes this specific insurance company(coughkaiser) and they seem to like punishing people going out of their network.

America needs to face the mess that is employer provided insurance.
