About once a year I’ll soak my shower heads and faucets screens in vinegar to get rid of the mineral buildup. Other than that, the water tastes great and tests perfectly healthy. I just wonder what it’s doing to my house’s plumbing.
terrorism
n 1: the calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimidation or coercion or instilling fear
Well, kind of sounds like textbook terrorism. And to be clear, I’m cheering on these terrorists. This is terrorist on terrorist action and, in my opinion, a fair and fitting response.
The simple answer: corrupt capitalism.
I’m losing my freaking mind over it. People, news, just going along like this is still business is usual. Real life Don’t Look Up.
But I’m going to bow out of this. You don’t seem capable of self reflection
Reading through this page, you certainly don’t seem wrong at all, but on the other hand, it may be a language issue.
So many linux posts seem to be new people getting frustrated at their lack of knowledge and trying to reinvent something that already exists. I’m looking at this thinking, why didn’t they just use locate
and fzf
?
…what different paths have been taken? Certainly not enacting a tax code that would make multiple unit ownership progressively unfeasible. That’s just a start. Of course, that would take the electorate to actually be educated and informed in their voting and stop reelecting these geriatric ghouls on both sides of the aisle. To be fair (to be faaaiiiirr) I share a lot of your nihilism.
Your sarcastic inability to see a different path does not mean a different path doesn’t exist.
I’ve had your same experience on here so many times. A relatively harmless, perhaps humorous, good natured little comment, only to have someone else to project their self righteous, bullshit assumptions into what wasn’t even said. It’s weird when people ignorantly assume you support values that you clearly don’t.
Aside from everything else, why would he want to have any association with that fucking troll Kirk?
Having spent a lot of time in Marinas, I can say this 100% matches my experience.
I really want to say something snarky, but in the end they are people and I hope they are safe and get the help they need to recover.
“Get a college degree and the world will be your oyster”
“Put in those extra hours/days/years, do more than the people around you, and it will payoff”
Archive Link I thought all posts were supposed to have alternative links. Whatever.
The headline is sensationalistic, because we are a country of morons, but the article gives a pretty good overview of the history and engineering problems with geothermal in the US.
It’s fucked up, but it’s just the status quo of China China-ing.
Yep, but it’s The New York Post, so to have something other than awful people commenting would be out of character.
Same age, but shit’s just gotten worse every year for a good decade or so for me.
It always makes me kind of sad when people disparage CLI use. It’s like people thinking they don’t need to actually learn anything because they can always look up what they need to know on their phone. It seems a shame to miss so much of the richness of the experience. I found myself arguing, promoting, whatever, terminal use a few times and then realized how pointless it is. It’s like arguing with someone about what food they like. You can just hope they develop a more sophisticated palate at some point, or at least become more open-minded, but you can’t force it on them.
This was a long way to get around to saying I like that you had that change of frame and are embracing the fun of personalizing your interactions with your computer.
