MAGA is Trump.
MAGA is Trump.
Narayama Murthy sounds like an enormous piece of shit.
It makes sense on the surface. ADHD is a deficiency of self -regulation. External pressures remove the “self” part of the equation. The scary part is the recurrence/remission cycle that makes it seem, to you and to everyone else, like you finally have your shit together.
Alex Jones used Infowars to disseminate lies about the parents of murdered children. Those lies were so egregious that a court found Alex Jones owed those victims a lot of money. Alex Jones claims he cannot afford to pay his debts, so he has declared bankruptcy. His plan is to sell Infowars, the vehicle of his disinformation, and use the proceeds to pay a fraction of his debts.
An affiliated company wants to buy Infowars so that they can hire Alex Jones to continue to spread disinformation. They are trying to dodge payments and minimize the amount owed while retaining possession of the valuable assets.
To be clear, Infowars does not belong to Alex Jones anymore. He has no say in how his assets are liquidated or distributed. Buying back your liquidated assets through an intermediary is a type of fraud that has existed as long as bankruptcy.
This isn’t about efficiency, it’s about attacking science as a tool for evaluating truth. It’s a way to discredit the authority of expertise and shape the course of research with selective funding and demonization.
In less than two months, Putin will control the US military.
It’s much easier to run a HTPC on something small like a Raspberry Pi, or an NVIDIA Shield. The hardware on your TV is probably the bare minimum to run its own smart features, and replacing the firmware doesn’t guarantee that the TV isn’t still phoning home with your data.
Yeah, I’m more concerned about the judge’s editorial statements.
Feels like this judge is far overreaching. The victims have an interest in who buys the assets, especially when it is assumed that the highest bidder is going to resume spreading lies about them. This isn’t a situation where the fiduciary duty to the victims trumps their preferences.
Agreed, those people are the best. But also, that’s a bit of a nightmare scenario, because now you have to decide if you’re going to risk saying something from five minutes ago, or decline the kindness and feel bad for rejecting the gesture.
TLDW: The moisture sensor might be on the right side of the microwave, and the bag was pointing left when the steam was released.
But that was definitely worth a watch.
Awkwardly attempt to join the conversation, only to be talked over mid-sentence by someone else, and so you wait for another lull. Attempt to start again, only to be interrupted again by someone else. Watch helplessly as the subject of the conversation drifts far from the point you were going to make. Minutes pass, and everyone is glad to be talking about something else. You let go of the moment, and resign yourself to remain quiet. Then someone says to you, “Oh, what were you going to say?”
Sure, probably. But that’s what happens when you elect leopards and have faces.
The point is to inspire fear and demand unwaivering loyalty. A little random violence against your own people helps tighten the inner circle around the leader, hoping for safety. Anyone outside the circle is surely doomed, and only the most loyal are surely protected. The leader is fickle and irascible, so be on your toes and never risk his ire.
They’re only going to raid employers that didn’t contribute to the campaign. It’s extortion.
Ok, but that doesn’t really narrow it down. Who should we be focused on?
I would also like to have no advertising.
Familiarity breeds trust. They aren’t trying to sell you insurance. They are trying to get you to think of their name when you shop for insurance. They want you to see Progressive and think, “Yeah, that’s a company I’ve heard of.” If you were choosing between two brands equivalent, and you had never heard of one of them, most people will pick the one they have heard of. That’s why 90% of insurance commercials are just repeating the name of the company and words like “trust” or “value”.
Also, is it possible that environmental factors like high-pressure, work or death situations foster ADHD in adults? Like, high-pressure education, testing, and job markets increase the incidence of pathological emotional disregulation.
