Well I would hope not. “Compromising” with a bully to only give up half your lunch money isn’t a great plan unless you are just buying time for some other plan.

I’m sure it must be a stressful time for Jewish people. All hate crime is horrible. Many people, Jewish and non-Jewish, oppose the actions of Israel.

I do hope the protests, to stop US arms being sent to Israel, grow in strength. And I do what I can personally to help.

When looking at the numbers its no exaggeration to say that the Palestinian people are being slaughtered by the Israel military.

• On October 7, 2023 Israel was attacked killing 1200 Israelis. Israel’s response to the attack has been completely disproportionate and has now (as of June 2024) killed over 7,797 children. In the same time the conflict killed 53 children in Israel.
• The most conservative estimate is that 7,797 Palestinian children have been killed, in the same time it is estimated that the total Israeli casualties; including military and civilian, including men, women, and children is 1200.
• on April 24, 2024 with many thousands of Palestinian children already dead, the US gave 14 billion in aid to Israel
• Neither US political party is stopping this.

I find the Teams app works great on Ubuntu. The Microsoft apps work OK in browser, until you have a lot of collaborators.

I rarely need to switch to windows, so when I do switch I expect to spend an hour doing updates.

Yeah I had a similar thought to your first paragraph. I mostly use MBFC for the “factual reporting” rating, because it seems easier to be objective about.

Just to clarify, I don’t develop any fediverse software, I wouldn’t want to take any credit from those amazing people.

I have always liked the saying that an overnight success takes 5-10 years. Getting frustrated with someone who is developing two different Fediverse platforms simultaneously after 12 days seems a little quick.

I think you make good arguments in your video about how similar loops and peertube are, but I don’t view that as a negative. We see lots of duplication in the world, even within open source (Linux vs BSD vs Redox, ardupilot vs pixhawk vs betaflight). When it’s open source they can all learn from each other and reach better solutions sooner.

Edit: oh looks like OP says loops is 5 years old. Still seems odd to show up after 5 years and expect something exciting within 12 days
