Admins and mods will likely be more vigilant about deleted posts and comments at least until things settle, so it might be better to abandon now, then delete later.
Edit: Also, during the blackout many subreddits are still either private or read-only, so their posts and comments won’t be accessible to delete until after these restrictions are lifted.
That is what I was thinking earlier today when I edited 13 years worth of comments and deleted all of my posts. I figure they will make it impossible unless you are protected by GDPR or something similar.
I recommend waiting to delete anyway, because you won’t be able to delete any comments/posts on subs that are private. Hopefully deletion scripts will still work after the API change 😬
