Isn’t it funny how political identities made it so being a decent, kind and generous human being is somehow controversial?

yeah like can you describe something to me without defining what it isn’t?

it’s yellow. Okay what is yellow? a mixture of two other colors? what are they? define them.

        what is night?

so you can’t do it. and that’s why you’re not going to hell. because you can’t have suffering without joy.

        thanks for attending my seminar.

Uhh hey man hope you’re enjoying a really great high cause it sounds like it!

That’s definitely not the train of thought I was going with though. More like we can’t even agree if police brutality is a problem, if the election was stolen/Jan 6 was an insurrection, are democrats consuming baby blood.

do you think if we could agree on those issues it would change our material condition? or do you think maybe the conflict between people who should be united as workers is the point and it doesn’t matter how many issues you “solve” they’ll just keep coming?

I think if we could agree on those issues our country and democracy wouldn’t be at risk of a fascist takeover and civil war. I doubt we would get that far in any living lifetime. Perhaps whatever this current gen being born might get there if we make enough leadway

I know it’s hard to believe but every election of the last 30 years has been the “most important election of our lifetime”.

Chronically online people have moved the goalposts of language so everything is now an existential threat.

What happens when you put up too many signs at work? Suddenly none of them are important.

You should vote, but if you want to use language like “civil war” you’re gonna get the future you imagine.

The funny joke is that we don’t even need to tax billionaires, we can just invent money out of thin air or, like, not misplace a trillion a year in untracked military spending. America is in a unique global position of power and every citizen could be living like a Saudi, but that doesn’t seem like a priority

Every “invent money out of thin air” is a giveaway to billionaires that you and I will pay for through taxes they are legally allowed to evade.

That’s why there was bipartisan support for PPP “loans” during COVID that never had to be repaid, but why they’re fighting tooth and nail against proposals to nullify student loans.

The funny joke is that we don’t even need to tax billionaires.
      Or money.
      Or even a state.
Maybe instead of one nation built on slavery aspiring to be more like another nation currently existing on slavery, we aspire to be a good, equitable, and just society, instead of “rich” nations where some get to enjoy the wealth while others “get” to create it…

We don’t need to do any of that, we already collect more than enough to provide single payer for all. We out spend all other nations already with health care spending by nearly double.

Yeah you do it before the dinner/event really starts so the asshole bigot can storm off. Or you just mic drop and take off yourself if that ‘uncle’ is more like your whole family.

      Mom’s really do know wassup
