I feel personally called out.
Clearly all those were created when you had an excess of motivation. Lol
Woah woah woah, cut yourself some slack! Every 2 weeks?? Nah, once a month. 9AM? Give yourself time to wake up and think clearly! 10AM or 11AM if you’re not a morning person
So, no sooner than noon.
give or take half an hour
Might as well round to 1pm
Yeah, but we gotta eat first. Let’s do it after lunch 👌
Sometimes I don’t eat lunch until 3pm. Then it’s back to work, and then dinner around 6. By the time I’m done with dinner, I’m just too tired to do anything for the rest of the evening. So, might as well set the reminder for 9am and hope I’m annoyed enough with the reminder badge to do it tomorrow.
Setting a task to look at the task is next level procrastination I could only dream of achieving
Yeah. I easily forget things.
Have you considered to get yourself checked for ADHD?
Hehe. Yeah, I’ve been diagnosed with adhd. All of the reminders and notes and reminders for reminders are to help me manage it. But I’m open to more suggestions from others for better ways.
IDK if this is helpful for you, but for myself, as long as I get one thing on my to-do list done, I consider that day a win, and I try not to be too hard on myself for letting things slip. It’s really easy for me to get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of things on my list, but by just taking things one at a time, I know I’ll slowly get through it.
On a tangential note, care to share your pickled pepper recipe?
Same here. One thing is a good day. More than one thing is a great day. Zero things and it’s okay. Try again tomorrow.
Good that you got that diagnose and know what you’re dealing with. I’m probably the wrong one to talk to about this and you probably know the following already, but just to make sure: apparently medication can hugely help. There are different agents so it might take a while to find the right one and its dose. So if you want to, it won’t hurt to talk to a neurologist or psychiatrist about this.
F the dust, get on those peppers!
I respect your priorities.
Try staggering those start days and times. A flood of reminders is easier to ignore than if they were spread out across the two weeks and the time is set to when you are most likely to be ready to act.
Me at the end of the workday copy pasting the remaining tasks to the next day
This genuinely has been me for like the past 2 months. I need a new job but can’t find the motivation to start looking & applying for any.
Tomorrow me could be dead. If that happens, I don’t want to spend my last day doing work like a chump.
This is, literally, why working for the satisfaction of a job well done is the best policy.
sometimes, I think about how smug I’m going to feel later when I think about needing to do the task and realize I’ve already done it.
I set an alarm yesterday for something I didn’t want to do. I will likely hit snooze when the alarm comes on today.
I like to say that past-me harasses present-day-me with lots of shit to do. Luckily, future-me has a lot more free time and drive. He’ll take care of it.
Rock should get bigger every iteration.
I’m in this photo and I don’t like it
Not just ADHD things. But definitely also ADHD things.

Consistency is key
If you stick with it, manage resources effectively, and don’t give in, you can go 6 months without washing your dishes.
Good things about problems is that there will always be more tomorrow.
