Tired of recycled mechanics eh?
Thats why they are making a multiplayer shooter truly a be and unique concept.
Dare I say, maybe even with heroes? They should consider doing obscure 2D games instead.
bl3’s villains were just cringe and annoying
I really don’t think they can top Handsome Jack from BL2. He didn’t overstay his welcome and was genuinely entertaining with how much of a douche he was. The Calypso Twins weren’t “villains you love to hate”, they were just “villains you hate” because they never shut up and are too two-dimensional to be entertaining.
jack had a lot of actual funny moments like butt stallion and “stop bringing me corpses with painted blue tats and telling me it’s a siren”
there was never a calypso moment where i wasn’t thinking, god just shut the fuck up
“God these pretzels suck!”
“Take to the streets, destroy whatever you want, find cool new weapons and resources, and rescue NPCs to take back to your Hometown, a living centralized hub,” Ruckus said in today’s announcement. “Here you can customize, build, and upgrade over time allowing you to enhance your weapons and abilities to head out even stronger for another round of chaotic fun.”
Sounds more like openworld survivor than multiplayer shooter
Person with very very minor role in failed franchise is making a new game as a job and being paid quite well to do more PR than work.
Yeah, people with jobs tend to do them.
Fascinating.
Tell me again when it’s done and released…
If it doesn’t have PVP, micro transactions or Denuvo I’m interested.
The first Concord like game
At first glance this looked like it was going to be just another MOBA. Fingers crossed that this is more like Borderlands coöp.
Both of those sound like recycled mechanics.
At least one has room for a little creative exploration.
I hope it pans out!
The last time I heard about someone being excited about new mechanics/paradigms in gaming it was Ken Levine. And then he disappeared for a decade. “narrative Legos” were the big idea.
He’s back, with Judas. We’ll see if he managed to invent new mechanics or not.
In the case of Judas tho, I’ll just be happy if it’s a good story and spectacle driven game like Bioshock Infinite.
Yeah, I’m similarly hoping for at least a spiritual BioShock successor.
