It’s built around a monument as well as into the local cave system. I really like how it’s turning out. It’s a shame the planet is a bit of an infested hellscape.

LOL. We all have to start somewhere. Honestly some people turn off snap placement and make some crazy works of art. That’s not me. My builds tend to be practical and fairly straightforward. I’ve just learned to deal with the quirkiness of the construction system, and keep expanding through trial and error.
How do you get away from the need farm = build farm trap? Or maybe I’m alone in falling into that pit…
Like If I decide to try and make some money from stasis devices I end up with a bunch of domes full of plants, a shack with a trade terminal and a portal, and it just looks a mess. Is it worth the time do you think to start a save in creative mode and just practice building?
Sorry for all the questions, I love the base building aspect, unfortunately I seem to always run into hallways not quite lining up or wires running every which way and killing the ambiance. Is it really just practice do you think? All the tutorials out there seem to be from folks who got degrees in architecture, I swear!
