That movie was a fucking IQ test for the general population. We failed. You literally have to tell people the bugs did not explode Buenos Aries, it was some Reichstag Fire bs. His satire was so spot on it looks like it’s not to a certain set. He ruined so many actors careers with the “act like a wooden retard” and them nailing it.

Did they really say that the bugs didn’t destroy Buenos Aires? It’s been a while but I thought they really did (or it wasn’t implied they didn’t at least, and they’re shown throwing rocks later) but it was because humans had made colonies on their land before that.

No, that’s the point of the comment you’re responding to. It’s painfully obvious that the bugs have no way to fling asteroids into the Earth, and the only “evidence” that it was the bugs is in-universe propaganda.

You can make the most over-the-top satire in the world, and people still won’t get it.

They’re capable of space travel. I’m not sure from what it would be obvious they can’t fling rocks towards Earth.

I might be confusing it with the book that goes more in-depth with the war.

There’s nothing obvious in the movie, unless you overthink it and get into the physics of it. There are lots of YouTube videos that will show the galactic map where they show the big planet being on the other side of the Milky Way from Earth. People have done calculations to show that the bugs would have had to launch the rock millions or billions of years beforehand to travel across the galaxy and hit Earth.

But yeah, there’s nothing to imply that was intentional in the movie. It was more likely just a case of the film makers trying to make a good movie rather than setting up some conspiracy based on actual physics.

Out of character, super earth is obviously not good, but I don’t think the helldivers are, necessarily. More victims imo

In character, be careful what you say, you might get your C-01 revoked

Helldivers are absolutely victims of Super Earth’s leadership. The tutorial shows just how little training they actually receive, then they’re immediately frozen and shipped off to be used as disposable cannon fodder. Their missions are almost always accomplished by throwing Helldivers at the objective until the ones lucky enough to survive complete it, or they run out of bodies.

You know, I almost wrote “Is Super Earth the bad guy?” But then I was like, is it “Are Super Earth the bad guys?” Or do I say “Super Earth leadership…?” Then said fuck it and changed it to “Helldivers”.

Unrelated but about an hour ago I opened a door when the entire area was being ravaged by fire tornadoes. I’m not sure what I was expecting to happen but the dudes ran straight into the fire and died.

              Shuttle still got 20 🤷

The sad part is that we don’t know if mullet-man is being satirical or if he actually drank the kool-aid. Either way, pasty-white-boy is starting to learn some media literacy, and is getting bullied for it.

I’m the movie, Office Space, mullet-man is dead serious in his answer. But that’s because the original question is, “At your job, do people ever say ‘Sounds like someone’s got a case of the Mondays?’”

The one game I’m glad I dodged tbh, everyone I know is hounding me to play it, few seem to accept my reasoning of “I’ve watched enough gameplay streamed from friends, as well as the internet, to know I’ll play it incessantly for a week and then never touch it again, I’m not dropping 60 Dollarydoos for a week.”

I’ll stay over here with my Baldurs Gate, Dead Cells and Cyberpunk tyvm.

I played 100+ hours then walked away to other games.

      …then I came back.

      Then I walked away again.

      Now I’m back.

If you follow the news of what’s happening in the games story, it is really fun and keeps the game fresh.

Last week, an All call went out that we could eliminate the robots for good. They added 2 new enemies that could show up and weapons to help with the fight. I jumped back in to help. It was a blast and the new map modes felt fresh and the weapons fun. We beat the robots and they are LITERALLY not in the game anymore. Like, you can’t fight them. At least for now. Who knows what’s going to happen next.

You mean 40 dollars and for a month or two, and then coming back in at times to check out the new drip, new toys and new enemy factions?

Negative, in AUD it’s listed @$60.

And no, I wouldn’t return for more content etc. the content has to be interesting and engaging, I’m not interested or engaged my Helldivers 2.

Didn’t know Dollarydoos ment AUD, so that’s my bad I guess. That said, many people find it very engaging, and for many it’s the next best coop shooter to come out since L4D2
