So we’ve moved from that didn’t happen to it wasn’t that bad to it’s not a big deal, to it’s not my fault all in like 24 hours.

Yeah like wait a minute, hold up. How the heck do you define conservative to come to that conclusion? I mean unless you’ve so radicalized yourself that everyone that disagrees with you, you perceive as whatever boogyman you’ve created.

Yeah even from the “conservatives are a form of liberal” perspective that doesn’t make sense. Even from the “lemmygrad/Hexbear are psyops” perspective it doesn’t make sense, that means they’re not American.

Heh yeah. They’re both offshoot of economic-liberalism for all its faults. But outside of that differ significantly. Maybe they’re from the Netherlands/Finland etc labeling by local standards? Though even that’s a stretch.

There’s an accusation that .ml and such are run out of a Russian/Chinese basement and are trying to get possible Dem votes to abstain but that still means they aren’t American. I think they’re very confused about what people mean when people say the “Stop Supporting a Genocide” crowd wants Harris to lose.

It’s probably a mix of Americans and paid foreign trolls. If it was legal in Utah, I’d wager that some of the paid trolls are modding some of their big communities.

Of course, the same could be said of all the big Lemmy instances. As it grows, more and more bad faith actors will get involved.

When I learned it was a woman I immediately felt sick. The amount of sexism from these people is disgusting. Once you think about the history of women being “hysterical” and how it was “treated”, it even gets more disturbing. I wonder if they would lobotomize her if given half the chance.

My first thought was, “What the actual fuck?!?” then I found out it was a woman and thought, “Oh! That completely explains EVERYTHING!” This is some peak, bare toothed Handmaid’s Tale level condescension and should serve as a warning to every single citizen of the United States that your country is literally on the brink of becoming a nuclear armed Christian Taliban caliphate.

Worse than that - we’re going to steal your advanced farming, irrigation and astronomy, claim it as our own, then enslave you to work on these same farms with all the human rights afforded to an ox.

Historically speaking, white people - and I say this as one of them myself - have gone through and really extra fucked up the entire lives of basically anyone we ever met including all other white people. On behalf of white people across all of time and space - I’m really sorry, bro, that shit was super fucked up. Some of us are working to try and make that better. Unfortunately some others of us are still working to make that worse.

Honestly, I don’t even blame Trump for this particular tactic. I blame his base.

They are all whores for nonsensical conspiracy theories. They literally reject the reality in front of their face for “pizza parlors are all running pedophile sex fight club franchises in their basements owned by George Soros!” type shit. If he didn’t say it, they would and probably already did run with something similar in their echo chambers.
